questions_for_reflecting_on_your_life

How do you know if you are heading in the right direction?

My goal is to do and experience interesting things every day. I aim to reflect, edit and course-correct regularly. Taking time out over the summer holiday allowed me to take stock and make an inventory of my life from all perspectives. From nutrition, to what I spend my time and attention on, to deeply held beliefs.

Getting away from it all, enjoying an early morning pick-me-up in the form of addictively strong double espresso in an Italian café while journaling, that’s my sacred space.

Not only do I get the space to think about what I want to do differently. But it also gives me an opportunity (perhaps through a crazy amount of caffeine) to think about what I want to create and how I want to edit my life to ensure I’m on the right path.

Sharing is caring and for anyone curious, here are some of the questions that I ask myself when I reflect, preferably over a strong espresso;

🤩 What excites me?

🙈 What do I want to do less of?

👵🏻 What do I not want to do at all anymore?

😁 In what circumstances do I create/do my best work/thrive/perform the best? (what can I do to create and maintain that space or state daily?)

In our everyday environment, it’s easy to slip into the illusion that we have all the time in the world. When, in fact, and we all know it, we do not. It’s easy to forget while entrenched in the depths of our inboxes. We lose perspective and the ability to see the entire playing field of our lives. We do have the power to create a life and career we love.
