From spending quite a lot of time in Stockholm, accidentally, for both conferences and epic concerts, this year has been one of extraordinary transformation and growth for me. Here are a few highlights:
The Books to Remember
This Is Strategy by Seth Godin, always makes me think again and challenges my perspectives
Life Force by Tony Robbins, an investment in my health journey
The Podcast Discovery of the Year
Human Upgrade with Dave Asprey, a steady companion during my new path towards increased energy and wellbeing
The Conference
AI for the Rest of Us, London. Of the two conferences I attended this year, this was the best. The reason was the mix of disciplines and the care and attention put into creating a positive experience for the attendees.
Most Used Software This Year
Canva and ChatGPT, are on par with each other.
Career Highlight
This is a tough one to answer, as my company, Nimble & Co., is my highlight every year, allowing me to work with fabulous people doing interesting things. However, I must say that the collaboration with Business Region Göteborg and the AI initiatives we undertook together definitely stood out. The webinar had 398 sign-ups, and thank goodness only 198 showed up!
New skill: Course and Certificate
AI Strategy & Governance from Wharton Online. Challenging but immensely interesting!
Revived Old Skill
I took up ceramics again, which had a knock-on effect on my drawing and painting. Key lesson here – make the time!
The Biggest Creative Project of This Year
Definitely the renovation of the turn-of-the-century flat we live in. Which will be ongoing during 2025.
Hotel Gounod Nice: Impeccable Art Deco décor meets modern design in the heart of Nice, complete with a private beach.
Countries Visited
Nice, France
Sanremo, Italy
Monte Carlo, Monaco
London, UK (well, hardly a trip as I lived there for six years)
Concerts of 2024
Tricky, Air, PJ Harvey, Jack White, and Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds
On a More Personal Note
One challenge with a proud achievement from this year
That I’ve taken control of my health and well-being. I’ve invested both time and money into extensive blood tests, supplements, and made radical changes that have paid off—even though I’ve had to challenge my deeply held beliefs about nutrition and the plant-based diet. The plant-based diet does not serve me and that’s one key aspect I choose to leave behind in 2024.
As I go through my journal to review my year to leave it behind me, I feel capable, strong, and as though I’ve reconnected with a big part of myself—my creative expressions through various mediums, from ceramics to painting.
I’m grateful for my life, and from my perspective and measure of success – I live a rich life. I get to do interesting things every day. I have the freedom to travel to conferences abroad to learn new skills, read fascinating books, and take as many university courses as I can cram into a year, all while being surrounded by great people. It’s a life by intentional design. Choosing this type of life isn’t easy, but I find it immensely rewarding, both in experiences and personal growth. You choose your hard. This is my choice.
I leave this year happier, healthier, with higher energy and with a little bit more of my soul healed and intact from the work I’ve done on myself this year. And very, very grateful for my life and the people in it.
